LEGACY SPOTLIGHT

HONORING A LIFETIME OF SERVICE

In 1977, Susan Carpenter answered phone calls for a newly formed ambulance service, never knowing she was beginning a lifetime of service.

Over the next 48 years, she served this organization in nearly every capacity — from the earliest days of manual charts and stretchers to helping lead Ambulance Inc. into a new generation of care.

Susan’s dedication, leadership, and heart for this community helped shape who we are today. As she enters retirement, we honor her legacy and thank her for nearly five decades of service to Laurel County.
